The basis of pedagogical technology, modeling the process of scientific research, is a system of concepts, definitions, rules, teaching aids and techniques. The technology is implemented through research lessons, research workshops, extracurricular research activities

Lessons – research – is a form of learning in which the research method of studying the material dominates. The use of this type of lesson is due to the needs of modern society, which sets the school the task – to cultivate a creative personality, develop creative talents of children, teach them to think, acquire knowledge independently and apply them in practice. The research method in lessons is used mainly in senior classes.

The purpose of the lesson-research: to develop students’ skills and abilities necessary for solving non-standard tasks due to the content of the lesson, skills of independent search for ways to find out the truth, independent acquisition of new information.

Pedagogical opportunities of the lesson-research:

acquiring knowledge independently, rather than obtaining it in a ready form; improvement of thinking, development of analytical-synthetic activity of high school students, ability to compare and compare, analyze and synthesize, generalize and abstract, make statements and argue them, imagine and systematize ideas, etc.; directing students to a dynamic search, which forces them to become researchers, discoverers of knowledge, co-authors of the educational process; deeper comprehension of new knowledge on the basis of previous and life experience, as a result of which the educational material is more strongly remembered and mostly becomes the belief of students, the basis of their future worldview; promotes the formation of a person with a flexible mind, creative inclinations, stimulates students not to be limited in lessons to superficial empirical constants of facts, but to penetrate deeply into their essence.

I start to implement the methodology of scientific research from the 5th grade in lessons with elements of research, in which I work out some techniques that make up research activities. According to the content of the elements of research activities, I use the following types of lessons: lessons on the choice of topic and method of research, on the choice of the purpose of research, work with the source of information, defense of abstracts, and more.

The sophistication of the presentation, the clarity of the main points and conclusions, the validity of the actions and the completeness of the logical steps, the simplicity and naturalness of the approaches to solving problems and proving theorems should be the subject of constant care of the teacher.

Not to frighten the student with incomprehensible terminology, logic of reasoning, axiomatic system of teaching, but to bring him to them gradually, showing their advantages, to surprise with the novelty of the approach, to convince of its usefulness – this is the task of the teacher. And at the same time it is impossible for a moment to let out of sight care about education of independence of thinking of the pupil.

Therefore, teaching theoretical material, we involve students in feasible research activities for them, taking into account their psychological characteristics.
